A 7km hike through a natural and indigenous forest leads us to the Thaba waterfall. Waterfall swimmers are going to have the time of their life. During the hike, expect to do bird watching and probably see some Columbus monkeys.
We will see the elephant maternity.
We will also see the Wangari Mathai tree which she often visited.
This is a beginner-friendly hike and kid-friendly (12 years and above).
WHAT TO WEAR
- Dress warm in hiking/gym wear (avoid jeans) as the area might get cold and rainy. Thick-sleeved tops and bottom are advised to avoid the discomfort of stinging nettle and tsetse flies.
- Hiking boots a size bigger than your normal size.
ITEMS TO CARRY
- National ID/Passport
- At least 2 litres of water
- Snacks (light lunch, fruits, nuts, energy bar)
- Hiking pole
- Rain poncho
- Handkerchief. It's normal to get a running nose while hiking.
- Sunglasses, sunscreen, sunhat.
- Camera
- Change of clothes and open shoes for after the hike. You shall leave them in the tour van.
Remember to cut your toenails short

Move at your own pace or the pace advised by the guide and the host.
Remember to stop once in a while to take in the views. Immerse yourself in nature and have a wonderful time.
